Brief description

  • The manager is an employee who is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of a business unit, division, department, or operating unit within an organization. You will be responsible for overseeing and leading the work of a group of people in many instances.

Duties

  • Delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations
  • Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance, and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
  • Resolving conflicts or complaints from customers and employees.
  • Monitoring store activity and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed.
  • Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies.
  • Establishing and achieving business and profit objectives.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy business, ensuring that signage and displays are attractive.
  • Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers or other parties.
  • Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field.
  • A Masters’s degree or MBA in relevant fields will be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles.
  • Specialized training in managing human resources will be advantageous.
  • Equivalent know how
  • Desire to learn how.

  • Management experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred.
    Ability to lead and develop department and department, staff members.

  • Ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the organization’s management team that provides leadership and direction.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employee relations.
  • Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.
    Excellent organizational management skills.

Working Hours

  • We are open Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 6:00pm. There may be recommended  to work hours to fit around particular needs or to respond to work demands.

Lines of communication

  • We recommend a collaborative group process. The chain of commands or “Hierarchy” is project based.
